How to send the type of tunnel in access-request?

Hello,

I have a PPTP/L2TP access server and two groups of clients: PPTP-only clients and L2TP-only clients.

All clients is authenticated with one Radius server.

I need to send type of tunnel (PPTP or L2TP) to Radius to distinguish these groups of clients.

Is there a way to implement this?

Thanks in advance.

Re: How to send the type of tunnel in access-request?

Hi

There's a few potential solutions. If the users of these devices are in different ACS (or external) groups, you can create the specific tunnel type attribtes per ACS group.

Otherwise, you could defined two NAPs (with ACS 4.0) with one for each service... provided you can find some way to differentiate the two requests.

If you cant differentiate at the front or back ends... there's no solution I can think of.
