I'm trying to configure the RADIUS Authentication in IOS 12.0(5.1). However, even though I can configure the aaa new-model and use local username and passwords, I seem unable to find the necessary "radius-server' commands. Is it that RADIUS Server is not supported in this IOS? If it is supported can someone guide me or provide the necessary documentation.
RADIUS in IOS has been supported since 11.3, so it should be available in 12.0 including the base ip only feature set. 12.0(5.1) is an interim release that's not even publicly available on CCO? Have you tried an official release? Could you provide a "show ver" output along with the screen capture when you try to enter the "radius-server" command. You do need to configure "aaa new-model" first before you can use the radius commands.
Thanks for your response. Please find the show version below. As for the "radius-server" it does not seem to exist on the device as if i type r? all I see is rmon.

Sorry I thought you were looking for RADIUS support on routers, but it looks like you have a catalyst switch. As far as I know, you'd need to have at least 12.0(5)WC5 to get RADIUS support on this platform, see:
In general, interim releases are only provided to customers on an as-needed basis to address short term bug fixes. You do want to migrate off of them as soon as an official maintenance release is available on CCO. Hope this helps.
