New ACS server box information required

Hi all

Please suggest how to install new ACS 1113 box in the live network,e.g how to change the ip add of box ,is that acs hardware appliance booted with acs softwareor i have to install it?

I got three CDs with box.

Please help me

Hi sandeep,

You first need to connect ACS SE bottom NIC with production switch. Upon booting you need to check whether its pre-loaded with latest/other images.

Latest image is 4.2.0.124 for 1113

Very much thanks for u r support.

Now i can access the gui interface of AAA server.

But i dont get tacacs+(Cisco IOS ) option under interface configuration.

Is their any image problem or i have to enable any other option on AAA server?

Sandeep,

To get that option you need to add a aaa-client in the network configuration.

acs--->network configuration--->aaa client-->add "Authenticate using Tacacs+ Cisco IOS"

Now you will see that option.

Hi Sandeep,

Thats expected, In order to get it available there you atleast need to add one AAA NAS devices with authenticate using tacacs+ Cisco IOS.

# Here is the path #

------------------

Under Network Configuration -> click Add Entry below the AAA Clients table ->

* AAA Client Hostname

** AAA Client IP Address

*** Shared Secret

***** Network Device Group

****** Authenticate Using -> TACACS+ (Cisco IOS)

******* Hit Submit+ Apply

# TIPS #:

-The shared sceret key should be exact same the one you have entered on the router/switch for tacacs authentication.

-Don't check this option "Single Connect TACACS+ AAA Client" This might create problems for you.
