Hello,

We are using RADIUS accounting on a PIX501. It is working fine however, our RADIUS logfile is filling up with errors as below:

Thu Apr 17 13:41:40 2003: ERR: Attribute number 105 (vendor 1147499380) is not defined in your dictionary

Thu Apr 17 13:41:40 2003: ERR: Attribute number 105 (vendor 1147499380) is not defined in your dictionary

Thu Apr 17 13:41:46 2003: ERR: Attribute number 99 (vendor 1399813490) is not defined in your dictionary

Thu Apr 17 13:41:46 2003: ERR: Attribute number 99 (vendor 1399813490) is not defined in your dictionary

Any help is appreciated.

Re: PIX500 RADIUS Incorrect Vendor/Attribute

Attribute 105 is an unassigned attribute, 99 is Ascend-DSL-Upstream-Limit. I have srious doubts the 501 is sending accounting updates with those attributes defined, are you sure this is coming from the PIX specifically? Is there other devices in your network that are sending accounting records to this Radius server? Do you see these come from the PIX when a user does something specific? Can you get a Sniffer trace of one of these Radius packets?
