Please help with CISCO 837 VPN connection

Hi guys,

I bought a CISCO router 837 recently.The image 12.2(8) seems supporting IPSEC.

My inital set up is :

VPN client with remote desktop ---> DSL router 837 with firewall---> ISP ---> remote server

local network: /24

router IP address: /24

VPNclientpool: - /24

What I am really concerned is the remote desktop failed to access server after the vpn client connected. In order to check my remote desktop connection, I tried to type the external IP of my server on remote desktop as well. It worked fine in this case. Therefore , i am pretty sure it is the ACLs that caused the problem.

On the other hand, my work station can ping the remote server which is How come it can't access the server using remote desktop?

Could you please help me with this? Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Best regards
