I try to upgrade to 4.2 on Windows Server 2003SP1. First step was to apply the CSCsh32888 Patch (replace an exe), which is OK.
next step is the upgrade to 4.1.1.24. I Installed IIS6, checked the JRE-Versions, Stopped all services including MCAfee, RDP and Monitoring. I restarted the machine more than one.
Problem:
I start the setup.exe from 4.1.1.24, for about 2 seconds the hourglass next to the mousepointer appears, then hourglass disappears and nothing more happens.
The setup.exe-process still is in the processlist (taskmanager) but nothing else.
Any hints?
I activated the 2nd NIC (as mentioned in the upgrade guide, I stopped all services, that probably can access the ACS files, tried to follow all guides from cisco.
*confused*
Thanks in advance

I solve this problem by myself.
Just disableing and kill "all" programs that are not neccesary to run basic windows, eg. hp simtools ...
