Hello,

Anyone knows if the VG224 has a 802.1x supplicant? Can't find anything in the datasheet.

Thanks.

I did some research and cannot find any information whether you can configure it as an 802.1x supplicant, so I'd say no. The other alternative is to use MAB to authorize the device to the network.

Why do you want to authenticate this device? Usually you would only authenticate end user devices (PCs, laptops, phones, printers etc) not network/voice infrastructure devices, which are usually in a secure DC.

I thought I replied to this. Answer no. Dot1x is switch feature

In this case the VG224 is an endpoint like a phone, so I want to know if it
has a supplicant as the IP Phones have.

I agree with you. In my case this devices are at the user Access instead of
the data center. I will use MAB as I planned, but wanted to make sure before
discarding the possibility.
