hey folks...

need a little insight...

I'm running an ACE20K9  running  Version A2(1.0) [build 3.0(0)A2(1.0) IOS.

I am load balancing 3 NON-SSL terminated servers in a server farm.  My systems guys have configured, unknown to us, 2 separate sharepoint sites, using the SAME VIP, resolving to the 2 different sites (exp:  mgmt-x3d-des.dsa   and   user-x3d-beta-des.dsa, both intranet)...

I dont know if its the configuration of the dual sites resolving to the same VIP or what, but something is manifesting itself as 2 connections per initiated connection...see the below "sho conn"

2215       1  in  TCP   2001 10.159.229.158:6907   10.78.128.32:80       ESTAB
3395       1  out TCP   2002 10.78.160.26:80       10.76.241.6:15321     ESTAB
3114       2  in  TCP   2001 10.159.229.158:6908   10.78.128.32:80       ESTAB
1713       2  out TCP   2002 10.78.160.26:80       10.76.241.6:56046     ESTAB

any assistance would be appreciated.

Bruce

I don't see why this is a concern.

Browsers like IE open multiple connections with the same website to speed up object download.
