Hi

i'm a newbie regarding ACNS. I have a ACNS configured for non transparent caching that sends all request to a squid proxy. If I look at the http savings statistics I get no hits, the HITS counter is still 0. Here my configuration:

http age-multiplier text 50 binary 70

http authentication cache timeout 1000

http authentication cache max-entries 8000

http authentication cache max-group-entries 2000

http proxy incoming 80 8080 3128

http proxy outgoing host 138.191.2.30 3128 primary

http proxy outgoing preserve-407

http max-ttl hours text 1 binary 4

http tcp-keepalive enable

Giuseppe,

The first place to check when you have a low cache hit rate is the command:

sh stat http miss

There are three (3) sections in the output:

'No hit reasons' = Tells you why requests where a cache-miss.

'Validate reasons' = Tells you why the CE validated to freshness of content that is stored in cache.

'No store reasons' = Tells you why content was not cached.
