Analyze ACE capture buffer

Good morning.

I am able to take an ACE capture buffer and get it into a file on a PC. However, this format isn't very readable. Can someone please point me to a tool which can convert the file into something legible, or else explain to me how I can convert it manually?

TIA

- Godfrey

Re: Analyze ACE capture buffer

With the latest software version, when you do 'copy capture disk0:' the capture is converted into a pcap file readable with any sniffer tool like wireshark.

Just rename the file into something.cap and if you have wireshark, it should be able to decode it.

Thanks, I never realised that there was a difference between this method and the

sh capture BUFFER detail > tftp: way.
