Guys,

few questions please regarding for CSS as i'm not expert on this field:

1-what is the differnce between port configured under service and under content rules ? are they have to be the same port number ?

2-if incoming request came to the CSS through VIP with the default port 80.. how i can change the port to 9080 with the same url and send it to the real IP of the server ?

one more thing..

is the mode of the CSS (box to box And One armed) makes any differnet in the behaviour of the traffic and requests ?

what is the use of the group ?

Thanks,

Hasan

groups are used for source address translations.

box to box is a redundancy setup, One Armed is a design, so you can not compare these

Redundany:

-Vip

-Box2Box

Design:

-One Armed

-Routed mode

-Bridged mode

is there any way how i can translate with the port number ?

i mean force the incoming request to be redirectes to the server on specific port only ?

The 2 questions you are asking are the same:

The Port on the content rule is how traffic enters the box (incomming request port)

The Port on the service is how traffic will be sent to the server.

By using diffrent ports on the service and content rule you invoke port address translation wich you need for question 2
