Hi,
I bought a new CISCO 11501 switch and tried to use through serial console and observed that it is not asking for username & password and goes to "Offline Diagnostic Monitor Menu".
When check for the exitsance of disks in PCMCIA slots 0 & 1 I get a message like "No device in PCMCIA Slot 0/1!".
Does it mean the new CISCO 11501 by default won't come with a disk?
Your help is highly appreciated.
Thanks

11501 is avaliable in two configurations relating to storage.
- Internal HDD
- Removable Flash Disk

I know that. I just want to know why it is not coming up? I am wondering whether the switch doesn't come with any internal HDD?
I would like to know in what scenarios it won't give username & password and goes to Offiline Diagnostic monitor?
Thanks

once if offline mode, can you try to change the boot parameters and see if the disk option is available ?
If not, there is no disk and without disk this device can't boot.
I honestly don't know if this platform should come or not with a disk by default.
I know for sure that CSS11503 and CSS11506 have to be ordered with a disk separately.
Might be the same here.
