Cisco CSS and LDAP

We are working with IBM on a failover solution with our IBM LDAPS. We had issues because the default script on our Cisco 11506 is a simple keep a-live and our servers our hanging allot causing the port to still be read but the server is still hung not causing a failover solution. Of course the ldap problems are being worked on by IBM and we are becoming more stable but we did find that flaw in our own systems and we are now trying to get that fixed. I am trying to find a script or a very good example that is able to do an ldapsearch from the Cisco 11506. We have a query from IBM that will not return a cached response but I have looked at the CSS Scripting book and did not find anything on ldap and am just trying to get a foot in the door on this issue. Any help would be great....

you can do a

sho script ap-kal-ldap

This would be a good start to see how we did our own ldap script.

Basically, if you want to change it, you habe to either know the RFC and simply create your own request from scratch in hex.

Or you can have a PC generate the request you need, and capture it with a sniffer trace.

Then extract the bytes that you need.

Gilles.
