Content Distribution Extreems

We are in the process of testing some theory for an impending implementation of content networking hardware, some of which is listed here:

Content Delivery Manager 4630

Content Engines 507, 507-AV

IP/TV Broadcast Sever

IP/TV Server Manager

At present we are having difficulty with the following:

Web Server on public internet address - ex.

CDM on same

CE on same

same meaing public not same address.

CE inside our firewall

Same for the IP TV stuff

The web server has an application that builds the requesst URL to the CDM for a piece of content.

This request is initiated forcontent that is on a CDM channel that the CE on the public address is subscribed to. No other devices are subscribed to this channel. The request coming from an address outside of our firewall, say your browser.

The request times out before the content arrives back to the browser. There appears to be little initiation of delivery occuring.

This was tested with the subnet settings both automatic and specified, and wide open setting, all failed to deliver.

Re: Content Distribution Extreems

Probably going to need to scrutinize sniffer traces to see exactly what's ahppening on the wire. You could have your configs looked over first. I don't see any obvious bugs searchin bug toolkit.
