Hi everybody,

Do you know how can I understand the CPU utilization on the module CSM?

I use the comand: show mod csm all tech-s util, but I am not able to understand the real % of utilization like "show process cpu".

Could you help me?

Thanks

Ira

I would suggest that you use the "Show processes cpu" command. This command work on the CSM modules as well.

but there is no snmp oid for thes cpu values

There are 6 processors in the CSM.

5 IXP's and 1 PPC.

Each IXP total CPU are given at the bottom of the show commands.

The PPC CPU is always running at 100% - this is normal.

The PPC divides the cpu between all the processes.

What you get at the top is a list of all the processes.

You have to make sure each ixp is not constantly running above 60%.

For the PPC, there is not much to monitor.

Gilles.
