CSM module stops logging events

The two CSMs are in FT configuration. It happens after some time that standby module stops sending log messages to the Catalyst log and there are no syslog messages as well from the CSM. The Catalyst is loging events normally.

After module restart it works fine.

Any idea ?

what you can try is session to the csm console.

ie:

sesssion slot 3 proc 0

There, type 'venus' to enter engineering mode.

Then type 'tracelog_on'

See if that makes the CSM starts logging again.

What version are you using ?

A similar issue was seen in 4.1.6 but it disappeared with the latest images.

thanks for reply.

I followed the procedure:

TR3S1@#ses slot 5 processor 0

The default escape character is Ctrl-^, then x.

You can also type 'exit' at the remote prompt to end the session

Trying 127.0.0.50 ... Open

venus

tracelog_on

exit

[Connection to 127.0.0.50 closed by foreign host]

I didnt get the CSM prompt, and I am not sure the commands were accepted.

The CSM is version 4.2(6).
