CSM : Wrong session replication

yves.haemmerli

Hi,

I have two CSM with version 4.1(7) with Fault Tolerence enabled. Sessions are replicated on the standby CSM, but all sessions are replicated to a unique real server...Please see the attached file for a sample show command display.

The bug tracker does not mention any bug in this regard, but I don't think this is a config mistake in deed..The problem is that I can't upgrade to version 4.2 as mor memory would be required.

Thank you for any help

Yves,

there were 2 known issues like this in the past.

CSCef63166

Externally found severe defect: Resolved (R)

Standby CSM reporting max-conns reached on first real

There was another one related to server using same ip but different ports. Just can't find right now.

It should be fixed however in version 4.1.7

Could you give me the serverfarm/reals config so I can try to reproduce and see if this is fixed in 4.2 or not

Thanks,

Gilles.

Hi Gilles,

As your request, I attach the CSM primary and standby configuration.

Thanks for your help, I will investigate as well..

Yves

Yves,

are you sure about the version you are running ?

I tested your config in the lab and it works fine for me. Your config matches the known ddts I sent you but it is fixed in 4.1.7

Could you get a 'sho mod' and send it to me.

Thanks,

Gilles.

sorry for that, I was misreading my results.

I can actually reproduce the problem with 4.1.7.

Seems to be a new one.

I'll submit a new bug and look for possible workaround.

Gilles.

Yves

OK Gilles, our messages crossed each-other...thank you for you valuable support. We really appreciate. Please keep posting an append here if an official bug number is opened, so we can keep track on it.

Yves Haemmerli (yha@ch.ibm.com)

I could not find an existing bug matching this issue because I was looking into fixed bug.

I finally found it, in the not-fixed-yet bug list.
