CSS 11500 URL filtering

Hi,

I just like to find out if the CSS11500 switches is capable of filtering the incoming URLs.

The developers were worried that if someone typed in the URL of the full application interface or of a screen within the application they might be able to go there and access the real functionalityof the app - not just the subset that the portal would provide. So we are thinking if hte 11500 can block the urls and allow only those we want.

Many thanks in advance.

Is that possible to allow

you can't block some urls, but you can redirect users to another webserver or a dead end based on a url.

You would have a main rule loadbalancing the traffic normally and then another rule matching on those url that you want to block. This rule will forward the traffic to a webpage displaying an error for example.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks,

Gilles.
