CSS management port connection problem

Hi experts, I am configure a new CSS 11506. But I got the problem for accessing the management port. After connected between CSS mgmt port and a laptop, the CSS is unable to ping the tap. Does any expert know what is the problem? Is it related to speed/duplex issue?

ip add 1.1.1.1

subnet mask 255.255.255.0

Laptop:

1.1.1.2 255.255.255.0

Try reboot CSS box. I think, after changing mgmt ip configuration is necessary reboot box.

after that, let me know.

Do a 'show phy' on the CSS

See if the link is up.

I would not recommend to use this port unless you have very strict rules in your company.

You can manage the CSS using a regular port and it is easier to setup.
