CSS planning instalation

Hello all,

I have a cluster that someone decide that needs a CSS.

I'm new with CSS, and im just curious how i will implement that equipment in the network.

Is there any document that specifies best practice's?

And the place that i will choose for CSS, any best practises on this too ?

There are two major design options

1. Routed mode (preferred), where servers are in private subnets and VIPS (Virtual IPs of applications) are in different routable Subnets. In routed mode the servers default gateway points to the CSS circuit IP address

2. Bridge mode, where servers are in routable subnets, VIPs can be in same/ different subnet, Servers default gateway points to upstream router.

I realize that need spend more time to understand the concepts, and philosofy of the CSS.

Why is preferred the "routed mode" instead "bridge mode" ?
