I'm new with CSS, and im just curious how i will implement that equipment in the network.

Is there any document that specifies best practice's?

And the place that i will choose for CSS, any best practises on this too ?

There are two major design options

1. Routed mode (preferred), where servers are in private subnets and VIPS (Virtual IPs of applications) are in different routable Subnets. In routed mode the servers default gateway points to the CSS circuit IP address

2. Bridge mode, where servers are in routable subnets, VIPs can be in same/ different subnet, Servers default gateway points to upstream router.

There are lots of configuration examples at

Re: CSS planning instalation

I'm appreciated for ur reply.

I realize that need spend more time to understand the concepts, and philosofy of the CSS.

Sorry for this probably basic question:

Why is preferred the "routed mode" instead "bridge mode" ?

Best Regards,
