CSS redundancy box-to-box

Hello guys,

I'm planning to install 2 redundant load-balancers in a DMZ zone. The CSS units to be installed behind 2 ASA firewalls working in Active/Standby mode. What are the recommendations for these requirements?

1-Do we use the box-to-box redundancy?

2-Do we connect every server to the 2 CSS units with teamed network cards?

3-How does the ASA failover if any of the CSS goes down?

Thanks everybody for you help.

Re: CSS redundancy box-to-box

box-to-box redundancy is slot to failover compare to vip/interface redundancy.

Moreover, it prevent the use of ASR - so no stateful failover.

Avoid teamed network card with the CSS.

If you want to use such thing, insert a switch between CSS and server.

Don't know anything about ASA failover. Check with the appropriate forum for ASA questions.
