This is from a beginner on configuring a CSS for SSL termination. Having scanned through the SSL Config guide, not sure whether a separate SSL IO module is required. Can basic SSL termination(without acceleration) be configured on the base SCM module? Thanks.
In order to do SSL termination on the CSS you need the SSL module. If you do not have the SSL card, the CSS will only be able to load balacing of SSL with layer 4 content rules.
None basic SSL termination can be performed without the SSL module.
