CSS11500 adding Redundant Vip

CSCO10235163

Hi all,

we have a CSS 11503 with rel 7.5 already working in production environment with this piece of configuration:

circuit VLAN14

    ip address 10.128.201.253 255.255.255.128

    ip virtual-router 251 priority 200 preempt

    ip redundant-interface 251 10.128.201.251

    ip redundant-vip 251 10.128.201.153

    ip redundant-vip 251 10.128.201.178

    ip redundant-vip 251 10.128.201.179

    ip redundant-vip 251 10.128.201.144

Now we need adding a new redundant-vip (10.128.201.180); as I read on the configuration guide in order to achieve this I need to switch to 'config-circuit-ip' mode that means:

CSS# conf t

CSS(config)# circuit VLAN14

CSS(config-circuit[VLAN14])# ip 10.128.201.253 255.255.255.128

CSS(config-circuit-ip[VLAN14-10.128.201.253])ip redundant-vip 10.128.201.180 251

Does anyone know if this need of re-entering the Ip for the circuit can introduce some kind of disservice?

Thanks a lot

Chiara
