CSS11501 MAC problems.

Hello,

I have two CSS11501 cofigured to load balance and both connected to the same switch.

The CSS are configured for VRRP to share a virtual IP on each interface.

The problem is that both CSS are showing the mac-address of the Virtual IP, so the switch is learning the same mac-address on two different ports constantly (so we loose packets).

I could read in other conversation that there is a known ddts that makes the CSS stop doing VRRP after 828 days but our CSS is up for 139 days:

CSS11501# sh uptime

Uptime:

CSS501-SCM-INT : 139 days 13:56:27

In don't know if this issue is related.

Using the same virtual router ID on all circuits will cause the CSS to use just one MAC address to be sent to the switch. If you change the virtual router ID you will see different MAC addresses on your switch. This change must be made on both
