CSS11503 - Forced Failover of VRIDs with VRID Critical reporter using VRRP Priority/Preempt?
I have a couple of pairs of CSS11503s using VRID redundancy and a VRID based critical reporter to tie the state of the 4 virtual routers (1 on each of 4 VLANs) together. I would like to force a failover from Master to Backup by reducing the VRRP priority of the master and relying on the backup preempting it. Initial attempts, though not exhaustive, have revealed that we might need to remove the critical reporter from the VRIDs to change VRID configuration? Unfortunately I have no lab box to try this on and am not comfortable with attempting it against the production boxes.
I wondered if anyone had experience with the above or if there was a nice way of acheiving this?
