CSS5-SSL-K9 vs. CSS5-SSL-C-K9

Hi, I have two CSSes, one PROD and other TEST. The PROD box has a CSS5-SSL-K9 module, TEST has the CSS5-SSL-C-K9. What we've noticed is download times thru the PROD box is ~285kbps, TEST goes upto 1.3mbps. Both boxes are connected to the same switch/router infrastructure, configuration is almost identical, the only major difference is the type of SSL module.

I realize CSS5-SSL-K9 is end of sale (old, etc...) could the speed difference be due to the fact CSS5-SSL-K9 performs 800-1000 TPS vs 1400 TPS of CSS5-SSL-C-K9. The newer mod also supports HTTP compression.

Comments, suggestions appreciated.

Thanks!

HI Manjit,

Because CSS5-SSL-C-K9 also supports compression i.e. C stands for compression.

And because of compression as well as TPS the throughput is more.

Regards,

Sachin
