Fan failure on CSS 11000

Hi guys,

Our monitoring tools reported a fan failure on one of our Cisco 11000 but I cannot find anything on cisco.com regarding how to check anything ?

At about the same time the fault was generated, the standby box took over but only temporarily. The primary CSS did not reboot though as the uptimes is over 400 days ?

I also cannot see any applicable show commands ? Does anyone have any useful info ?

Are you able to login to the CSS now ? This could be a false alarm message that you received. Try to login to the CSS. There are no specific commands to check for a FAN failure on the CSS.

try the "show chassis verbose" command, which should tell you how many power supplies, fans, etc.
