Format Button CE 505

Hey all,

What excactly does the format button do in the gui ?

CE 505, 2.51 code

Does it wipe out the entire disk including the OS or does it simply format the cache section of the disk ?

I haven’t worked with a 505 for awhile but I’m almost certain it resets the cache file system.

Okay, I just tested this in the lab and this 'reformat' button will only unmount, format and mount the cfs partitions. The command leaves the dosfs partition alone and the config is not modified or erased.
