How do I change the name of the CSS device (The same name displayed at prompt"?

Also, how to I set the domain name (In order to have a fully qualified name)

You can do that by using the "prompt" command:

CSS501S-2# prompt steve

steve# prompt CSS501S-2

CSS501S-2# save_profile

the save_profile will save that to the admin profile for the next time you log in.

I do not understand your question on the domain name. Can you elaborate on that?

there is no equivlant to the ios 'ip domain-name' command. This concept does not exist on the CSS.

Is there any reason to request this command ?

Oh, if you are looking for a domain name to complete hostnames in dns requests, you can use the command:

CSS(config)# dns suffix cisco.com
