how to recover deleted log on CSS switch

I accidentally blew away the log file "sys.log" and have since saved the config. I issued the command "clear log sys.log" thinking it would simply clear the contents of the log, which was what I wanted. How do I get this log back and doing what its supposed to, and what is the correct way to clear the contents of the log without deleting the file itself?

I don't think you can recover it. You have to give "log disk sys.log" from config mode and this will create the log file for you.
