I have tried to enter static routes using the ip route command on a content engine running ACNS version 4.2.3. However I seem to loose these routes whenever there is a reboot what could be the problem?
Any configuration command entered is stored in the running-configuration of the router, which is stored in the RAM. If you want the commands to be permanent, you will have to save the configuration to the startup-configuration file, which is in the NVRAM of the router. Only then, the commands will remain after a reboot. See the document below for more info:
Hi I actually did the write mem. Even tried to do it from the http and saving the config but it ignores the routes at boot time. Funny thing is that when you do a 'show conf' the routes are actually there but 'show ip routes' does not show them.
