I've been asked to investigate upgrading our infrastructure to gigabit from 10/100. Now that the LD's (we have 416s) are at the end of life, what would be the most equivalent piece of technology. We're not looking for anything super complex, the LD did just fine. Would the Cat6500 module be a good one or is that overkill? Thanks!
Since the 416 LDs have reached end of life, CSS 11500 Series Content Services Switch or the Content Switching Module (CSM) for the Catalyst 6500 Series Switch seems to be the best option. Would suggest you to go for the Cat6500 CSM.
