Modify HTTP Content?

It doesn't look like the ACE can modify HTTP content, but I wanted to double check to see if anyone knew of the functionality.

Basically, I have a special situation where I need to modify URLs referenced in HTML.

For instance, I need to change references in the HTML replies from the server that contain internal.domain.com to external.domain.com.  Location header redirects won't cut it because of SSL certificate issues. It has to be content modification.

Definitely not possible with ACE.

And honestly, you would not want a product doing this.

The amount of cpu requires to scan all HTTP responses, locate urls and rewrite them would be huge.

The performance of the box would drop dramatically.

It's by far better to modify your webserver to send the correct url.

Gilles.
