Has anyone experienced awkward behavior with NFS flowing through the ACE module?
I have rservers mounting exported shares on segments behind the client side vlan. The AIX guys state they have situations like -> works, does not work for 5 minutes, works, does not work etc. situations while mounting. They also report cut off mounts while transferring data over the mounted NFS shares.
In my opinion it shouldn't matter if they flow through the ACE because if it is not part of any LB config it should be handled as simple routed ip traffic, right?
On the other hand i read about special adjustments that might be necessary if the NFS traffic flows trough a Pix,ASA or FWSM which is the case in some scenarios.
Right now i am trying to find the source of the problem. Ruling out the ACE as possible source of the problem would be a start.
