Ping real servers behind CSS

Do I have to do anything on the CSS in order to be able to successfully ping servers hanging off the routed CSS?

My network setup is as shown below. I can ping the circuit IP address connected to the server farm but can't ping anything on the server farm from the outside switch.

Sw ==> CSS ==> Srv farm

Thanks

nothing special is required.

Make sure the return path from server to client is ok.

If you have nating enabled, make sure the return path goes through the CSS.

Capture a sniffer trace on the server to see if traffic is coming in and if there is a response check the destination mac.

Gilles.
