URL redirect on CSS

I need to do a URL redirect (in about 20 minutes, unfortunately), and I testecd the configuration listed below, and it worked great - using JUST the content rule method:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/hw/contnetw/ps792/products_tech_note09186a00801c65b5.shtml

About 10 minutes ago I realized that I neglected to test the HTTPS redirect. I changed the port from 80 to 443, and it did not work. I've done some searches on the Cisco site and can't find a simple redirect example using port 443 instead of 80.

Am I out of luck? Can I only redirect plain old http?

Thank you!

you can't redirect HTTPS.

It is encrypted and the purpose of encryption is to prevent device in the middle to read or modify the content.

So, unless you have an SSL module and the server key and certificate, there is no way you can do a redirect on the CSS or any other device except the server itself.

Gilles.
