Vrrp and the rdundancy link?

Hi,

I need a little help regarding a problem with vrrp, I have two CSS11501 doing load balancing for some servers which are configured with vrrp box to box redundancy, i see a point of failure with the redundancy link in if this fails both boxes would assume mastership and all manner of problems would arise. Can you run two links for this connection and would spanning-tree block one regarding the loopback? And if so i assume it would need to be tweaked that it kicked in faster than the vrrp can switch over mastership? Is there anyone who has tried this or is there an easy way to do it which i am stupidly missing???

Thanks

Colin

Re: Vrrp and the rdundancy link?

Colin,

with 2 links redundancy does not work.

It will trigger a lot of erros and you will end up with both CSS Master.

The problem that you mentioned about losing the VRRP link is well-known and feature request was introduced to come up with a solution.

However, there is no timeframe yet and no workaround.

Regards,

Gilles.
