Hi,

I have a customer that would like to use WAAS to cache SOE desktop images on their edge WAAS appliances to improve performance for Desktop imaging. THe image files will be several GB in size. Are there any issues in caching or prepositioning files of this size ?

Thanks,

Leon

Depending the platform you are using the size of CIFS cache varies. To determine which platform is appropriate for you I suggest you to work with the account team from Cisco.

thanks

Leon,

As long as the images are fairly small <10GB i would think you would be fine loading them in the CIFS cache. For instance, the 512-1G supports up to 120GB of space for the local CIFS cache in 4.1.1 rev of Code.
