WAAS cookies management ?

Hi,

I'm asking my self a question, How does waas handle the cookies for http trafic?

Is there any session persistance mecanisme?

Is it transparent so handle by the browser as usual?

Is it cached?

I would like to know hows does it work exactly.

Regards

Karim

WAAS does not need to worry about browser cookies as it is transparent to it. WAAS will provide TFO/DRE/LZ optimization today for the data message that is transmitted over the WAN.

Karim,

WAAS currently only optimizes HTTP at the TCP level, so HTTP (application level)features like cookies are not cached per say, except for repeating bit patterns in a payload. If those bit patterns are repeated in future connections, we use DRE to offload those payloads as well as compression (LZ) and TCP optimizations.

I hope this helps,

Dan
