WAAS-FTP-5-250000: FTP LOGIN REFUSED (ftp in /etc/ftpusers)
I'm getting a set of the goofiest errors generated on one of my branch WAE's. The above error appears over and over again in the syslog of the CM. The branch WAE has print services enabled and we *used* to use the Central Manager as a repository, but we don't do that anymore (too much headache with the various printer models out there).
Now I've got a chunk of bandwidth in a small office (already only running on a T1) trying these FTP connections over and over again.
Re: WAAS-FTP-5-250000: FTP LOGIN REFUSED (ftp in /etc/ftpusers)
Looks like someone or something is trying to login into the WAE via FTP and is entering the wrong credentials or FTP is disabled. Check to see if the FTP service is running on the WAE. It can be enabled under the inetd ftp enable command or in the central manager settings page. FTP and RCP i think are the two options.
The unmanaged mode is also known as Network only switching, which is introduced in Brazos release. It adds the flexibility for customer to use only network automation for service appliance.
