We are experiencing a problem at a site where an WAE 612 is deployed Inline. All traffic appears to be fine appart from SAP. The users work fine for intermitant periods and then get disconnected. The basic connectivity is detailed below:
WAN------>Router----->WAE----->IPS------>Switch------>LAN.
The 612 has 2GB memory, so 2000 connections, around 300 users at site. We will be investigating further in the morning (sysreports, packet drops, etc.).
The site has a Radio link a Serial link which is being load balanced across.
My concern here is that the device may be running into issues with the number of available connections. We have put the device into bypass till the morning, and when doing so the users can work again.
My question is, if there is an issue with the number of connections (limit reached) will they be passed through, what I thought would happen, or may this be a cause of the SAP disconnects.
Any insight on experinces or previuosly seen with SAP would be appreciated.
