Hi, I am not sure what I am seeing on the CSS is correct. I have removed version 8.10 from the CSS and changed the primary boot file. Rebooted but still see the following output ?
NLAMSDC2CS010# show version
Version: sg0750103 (07.50.1.03)
Flash (Locked): 07.10.0.03
Flash (Operational): 08.10.1.07
Type: PRIMARY
Licensed Cmd Set(s): Standard Feature Set
Enhanced Feature Set
Secure Management
NLAMSDC2CS010# show installed-software
sg0750103
NLAMSDC2CS010# show boot-config
!************************ BOOT CONFIG ************************
ip address 10.1.1.2
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
primary boot-file sg0750103
primary boot-type boot-via-disk
Any explanation would be helpful ?
cheers,
Mike

this is correct.
the operational boot flash is never downgraded.
This flash is only being used to boot the primary software version, so it does not matter which version you have.

Mike,
Just to add to what Gilles said, here is a good link explaining certain gray areas around the flash versions of the CSS. Hope it helps.
