Will CSS setup flows to services in the dying state?

My goal is to optimize the service keepalive frequency, retryperiod, & maxfailure parameters.

1) Will the CSS setup new flows to a dying service (which is not dead yet)?

2) What about already established flows... Will the CSS continue to route those packets to the same service even though it is dying?

dying is not DOWN.

So, the CSS should continue use the service as if it was alive.

I have a customer with lots of service dying every 5 to 10 minutes but no connection issues are reported. So, it confirms the above statement.

Gilles.

Merci Gilles.

I know how to configure the service to go "down" within 6 seconds;

keepalive frequency 2

keepalive retryperiod 3

keepalive maxfailure 2

but how can I configure the retry to slow down to 30 seconds after the service is "down"?

hummmm.... the only thing available is the retryperiod.

Commands for keepalive are described at.
