I don't know the password for the blocker in my office (NFR, only for testing). I had a call with cisco supporter, but they can't help me because i don't know the whole serial number. Only the less characters on the back of the device.
How can i find out the whole s/n?
I've just got the device, without any backup-configs or something like that.
I also think that the password is missed for more than 10 times, so it is locked...
the last part of the serial number (the last seven characters of it) should be enough to identify the device. The first part by the way is the MAC address of the management interface. So if the second part cannot be found in the Cisco database and the full serial number would be required, there is a way to recover it when you have at least some sort of network access to the management interface or you can read out the ARP table on a connected switch ;-)
