replacing a UC520-24

I need to replace the UC520-24U My current one is shutting down intermittently.   Apparently is not just swapping cables I also cannot connect into the current system. at this point I assume i must add it into the current system and remap all phones to the new unit then swap cables and take the old one out can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to accomplish this.

Its been a long time since I worked on UC520's, but doesn't the GUI have some kind of backup/restore option?

I will look and see.  It seems like the system was originally installed using a script from a command prompt.  I was looking at the GUI and could not even rename phones.  but I will look for a backup and install option from the Gui
