SPA 50X Phone lock up Freezes

I have several phones on multiple networks locking up (freezing). I have read several posts about the SMB phones locking up issue and it seems that there hasn't been much in the way of reproducing this problem.  

I've been able to replicate the lock up.  Hopefully this will help to get to a resolution.

There is a sync link for the phones from the web gui.  If I sync the phone via that link, the phone will lock up intermittently.  I can replicate the issue almost 100% of the time, when I write a .bat that syncs the phone several times.

When the phone locks up, I can not get to the web gui.  I can, however, ping the phone.  The PC on the back of the computer still has access to the native VLAN.  When I trap, I do not see any VoIP traffic on the VoIP VLAN nor do I see any VoIP traffic on the native VLAN. It's as if the phone function of the phone stops working while the switch function of the phone continues to work.

I have replicated this on the SPA502, SPA504, SPA508.

Firmware: 7.5.5

Hardware: 1.0.4

I am having the same lock up issue on 2 of our phones.

 

I'm not a techy so although I really want to understand all this....I don't.

 

The other issue I have is that I can't change anything because I don't have a user id / password.  I was told to try admin / admin or cisco / cisco.  Neither work.  We did not change the password.  Does anyone know how to do a reset without it or what how to get in?
