SPA8800 FXO Inbound - what is it doing?

I am trying to setup an SPA8800 with Asterisk.

Outbound is going OK, but inbound never reaches the Asterisk server from what I can tell.

I enabled the syslog and debug feature of the SPA8800.

The following is the syslog of an incoming call to the SPA.

Nov 23 14:08:42 172.27.1.8 M0: FXO:Start CNDD

Nov 23 14:08:48 172.27.1.8 M0: AUD:Stop PSTN Tone

Nov 23 14:08:48 172.27.1.8 M0: FXO:Off Hook

Nov 23 14:08:48 172.27.1.8 M0: FXO:Stop CNDD

Nov 23 14:08:48 172.27.1.8 M0: AUD:Play PSTN Tone 1

Nov 23 14:08:58 172.27.1.8 M0: AUD:Play PSTN Tone 8

Nov 23 14:09:00 172.27.1.8 M0: FXO:PSTN Disconnect Tone

Nov 23 14:09:00 172.27.1.8 M0: AUD:Stop PSTN Tone

Nov 23 14:09:00 172.27.1.8 M0: FXO:On Hook

Nov 23 14:09:00 172.27.1.8 M0: AUD:Stop PSTN Tone

Nov 23 14:09:00 172.27.1.8 M0: FXO:Stop CNDD

What I hear happening matches with what I see in the log, I just don't have a clue why it is doing it.  When a call comes in, the SPA answers and plays a dialtone, then plays a rapid busy sound and hangs up.

I want the call to be sent to the Asterisk server, from the Asterisk logs it does not report any incoming attempt at all.

Ideas?

Re: SPA8800 FXO Inbound - what is it doing?

You must configure the ip address or DNS name of your Asterisk in the PROXY field under LINEx menu.
After this, you must configure a called number under DIAL PLAN menu for PSTN incoming calls. This number will be sent to your asterisk.

If incoming calls must be sent to hunt group 200 your DIAL PLAN must be <:200>.

If you have doubts about dial plan use this link:

Thanks, it was the dial plan portion that I was missing.  Seems strange to me to have a dialplan, but with your tip I was able to get it going.
