Trouble dialing a local number in Sydney

G'day from OZ,

I have been using an SPA8000 for a number of years.  Just recently I tried to call a particular number in Sydney and was unsuccessful.  Number can be reached using a normal landline or mobile.

Service provider tells me that I may need to ajust my Dial Plan but would not assist any further.

Phone number is 90021333.

Dial plan reads like this:    (*xx|000S0|112S0|123S0|121S0|1223S0|1234S0|1100S0|600S0|900S0|09xxxxxxS0|13[1-9]xxxS0|1[38]00xxxxxxS0|[2-9]xxxxxxxS0|0[234578]xxxxxxxxS0|190xxxxxxx!|xx.)

This stuff is way over my head so hope someone can make sence of it.

Deleted |09xxxxxxS0  didn't fix the problem.

Replacing the entire dial plan with the one you provided worked. I'll test the new dial plan over the next few weeks, but looks good.

Thanks very much for your help.  :)

This is wrong.  This should be deleted.

Thanks Leo,

I am dialing 90021333  -  all Australian numbers have 8 digits past the area code.  As soon as I dial the zero I get what sounds like a fast engaged tone.

I just tried dialing 0290021333 and I can get through - very wierd

I've dialled numbers all over Sydney and other states for years with no problem.  This is the only number I've had a problem with.

Makes sense.  Your dialing plan is incorrect.

Get rid of this:  |09xxxxxxS0

(000S0|106S0|183[12]x.|1[389]xxxxxxxxS0|13[1-9]xxxS0|0[23478]xxxxxxxxS0|[2-9]xxxxxxxS0|001xxxx.S5|111S0|*xx.)

Above line is taken from Internode's configuration guide for Sipura.  This is what I used for my Cisco ATA-12X.
