Hi Guys,
the release notes for the 1.3.2 firmaware states:
"Due to CSCug32425, when upgrading the SPA232D loaded with v1.3.1 (or a
previous firmware version), it is required to upgrade the SPA232D v1.3.2 firmware
twice if provisioning the device via the Upgrade Rule to correctly upgrade to the
corresponding embedded SPA302D handset software. A special version of
SPA232D firmware has been created to be used to perform the first upgrade
while the second upgrade can use SPA232D_SPA302D_1.3.2_014_FW.bin which
then installs the SPA302D handset software correctly."
Does anyone know where to find this special version?

Not as easy as it sound. The device will hang on the end of first upgrade, so manual power off-on is required. E.g. no way to upgrade large number of devices remotely.
For remote upgrade, the 1.3.2m (where m stands for middleman) version of firmware IS required. I have it, but I'm not authorized to distribute them.

I've obtained a release version of that and posted to http://www.sipura.net/download/spa232d/232D_1.3.2_014m.zip
It will be posted to the Cisco site later. Thanks.

The fix is to install the same firmware twice.
For the 2nd download, you'll need to change the name of the firmware so it will download it again.
This will trick the device to downloading it again because if it sees the same firmware name, it won't try to install it the 2nd time.

I'm try to update 232d from 1.3.0 to any firmware(incl 1.3.2_014) but ATA doesn't want to update. I try to update by each version.
Now I have access to web-interface but "Voice module not active".

This thread has been answered/closed already and your's question is unrelated to the thread topic. If you have an issue start new discussion, please.
Don;t forged to mention details - for example the upgrade method. Also, exact mode and hardware version, also the value of "Customization" option ...

Thanks nseto and Dan Lukes,
the firmware posted worked, but as stated by Dan it still hung after the first fw update and needed a manual reboot

Well, it may depend on device configuration.
Try to return to as-much-as-possible-factory-default configuration before upgrade to intermediate firmware (e.g. two stage upgrade become three stage: deconfigure to factory default, reboot, upgrade to m-firmware, reboot, upgrade to final firmware+configuration). Try it and report the result, please.

Late update:
this thread apply to newer firmwares (>1.3.2) as well. Either update twice to latest firmware (whatever version it is) or use 1.3.2m for first upgrade and latest firmware for the second.
